The State Education Department of Assam will be conducting the exam for the 12th board in February and March 2025. Though the education authorities have not announced the official details regarding the timetable routine of the HS examinations, based on the previous year’s data, the expected timetable routine will be shared so that the students can plan their preparations accordingly. The AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) will be conducting the exams in pen and paper format at the beginning of 2025 for the academic session of 2024 and 2025. The exam will be taken in two shifts as usual. The timings for the first shift will be from 9 Am to 12 Noon while the timings for the second shift will be from 1.30 Pm to 4.30 Pm.

Then the students can check out the official website of the school-wise exam center list. The exam dates will depend on the stream of students. For example, the students of the science stream will be taking the exams on different days while the students of commerce will be taking on others. The exam will run for three hours and the students who have completed their papers may choose to go early by some minutes.

Assam Board 12th Exam 2025 Statistics
As of now the exact number of students cannot be stated as the educational authorities do not have sufficient data. But based on previous year records, the students appearing for the 2025 12th Board exam will be around 2.5 lack to 3 lack.
As in the academic session of 2023 and 2024, there were around 2.9 lack students who appeared in the 12th board exams, similarly the number of students for the academic session of 2023 and 2022 was more than 3 lack. However due to various interstate and international factors, in the academic session of 2024 and 2205, the number of students writing the 12th board will be lesser than in previous years.
Still, the authorities are expecting that the students appearing for the exams will be no less than 2.5 lack. To conduct the exams smoothly, the authorities will be conducting the same in two shifts. Of which the first will be held in the morning while the second will be held at noon.
